On April 5th to 7th TOMTEC hosted hands-on sessions within the workshop “Why and how to implement 4D TTE and 4D TEE in the routine of the echocardiography laboratory” as platinum sponsor in Beirut / Libanon.
This practical course with live scanning and hands-on sessions on workstations was designed for cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, anesthesiologists and sonographers, who require advanced training in 4D TTE and 4D TEE. It was likewise relevant for those who want to understand the added value of 4D echocardiography to understand the anatomy and pathophysiology in various heart diseases and guide surgical and interventional procedures.
Dr. Luigi Badano and Dr Denisa Muraru, renowned professors from the University of Padua, were the speakers of the comprehensive theoretical overviews that preceded the practical sessions at the workstations.
Dr. Badano is a professor of cardiovascular imaging at the University of Padua school of Medicine, and currently serves as the Director of the Echocardiography laboratory.
Echocardiographer at the University of Padua and Chair of the Education Committee of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).
The course offered a platform for interaction with colleagues and speakers from 10 different countries and stimulated a lively and creative exchange of ideas.
