2 Learning Labs, 4 sessions, 30 Workstations, plenty of possibilities

Between 22 and 25 June 2019, Gdansk in Poland hosted echo specialists from around the globe who joined this years EACTA Echo Course. In addition to the numerous lecture sessions„Hands-on“ sessions provided the participants the opportunity to directly bring their new knowledge into practice. With two learning labs, four sessions and 30 Workstations TOMTEC also offered a practical parcour  - which attracted many visitors.

The four sessions were labled as „Advanced Courses“ and were lead by Chirojit Mukherjee, Melanie Greiner und Thomas Wendt. Each session lasted  one hour and participants  learned how to use software for RV, MV, TAVR and LV. Thanks to the three experienced and highly regarded „hosts“ each session was very intense, the learning curve was high and the discussions lively. 

EACTA Echo course focuses on perioperative echocardiography, therefore  serveral medical specilalities – from cardiologists to cardiac anesthesiologists – attend the congress that also offers a Certification course that ended with an an ESC exam in transesophageal echocardiography. 

TOMTEC has been very satisfied with the small but intensive event that was ideal to give a very close look at the software and show participants how helpful it could be in their daily routine.
