At the 3D Echo 360° congress in Padua the organizers offered from September 21st to 23rd an international platform for clinicians, scientists and engineers to present their experience and discuss the latest technological advances, software solutions research findings and clinical applications on 3D echocardiography. This year’s overall theme was “Implementing 3D echocardiography to improve clinical practice”.
TOMTEC distributed with a small booth to show the latest software. Additionally two speakers held talks: Rolf Baumann on The Future is “Automated and Mobile” and Bernhard Mumm on 3D printing “Current status and future outlook and/or Augmented and Virtual Reality: Does it work with 3D echocardiography”.
We had an interested audience offering 4 hands-on session about:
- Post-processing and display of 3D data sets
- Cardiac chamber quantification
- Heart valve anatomy by 3D echo
- Congenital heart diseases and masses
The virtual reality glasses and the possibilities they create never stop to amaze, so we demonstrated a medical setting at our booth to experience the options in a 3D world.
Furthermore visitors could spot the TOMTEC software during sessions presented by various doctors within the „Basic 3D Echo & Advanced 3D Echo Track“ Sessions.
Thanks to everybody who made this congress a success, hope to see you all next time!
