4D LV-Analysis© MR

Software solution to analyze and visualize LV function and LV dyssynchrony in cardiac MRI data

The current gold standard method for quantitative LV analysis uses the “short-axis slice summation”. The major difficulties of assessing mass and volumes with this method are in correctly including and excluding slices in the Mitral valve plane. To overcome these problems, TomTec`s 4D LV-Analysis© MR1,2 application combines short- and long-axis slices and provides a full assessment of the LV including volumes, EF and dyssynchrony.

Clinical Use

  • Accurately measure results for LV EDV, ESV, mass and EF even in abnormally shaped LV (congenital heart diseases)
  • Detect, quantify and display LV dyssynchrony
  • Assess Cardiac Dyssynchrony Therapy (CRT) success with Systolic Dyssynchrony Index (SDI)

Major benefits

  • Quantify LV volume and function with high accuracy
  • Overcome measurement difficulties due to the Mitral valve plane
  • Guide to identify CRT responders and non-responders

2) Please note that the 4D LV-Analysis© MR application runs on Image-Arena™ VA platform
CMR with semi-automatic border detection may be useful for the assessment of mechanical dyssynchrony in patients with poor left ventricular function and poor echo image quality.
